Acike Centre
Kyoga Foundation promotes cultural and professional activities for women. These activities are hosted at Acike Centre for professional women and also at Teemba Study Centre. A class of Catholic Doctrine is given by a priest to women who show up every Wednesday evening at Acike Centre and Teemba Study Centre. After the class of doctrine, a topical issue is discussed by the women present, for example how to care for children with special needs, how to decorate gifts, mental health for men, etc.
Professional Conferences
The professional women who attend activities at Kyoga Foundation’s centres raise several questions concerning their daily lives and professions. To address these issues professionally, Kyoga Foundation organises professional conferences and invites renowned professionals from the East African Region to speak to the women about different topics of interest. Among the themes dealt with at the conferences held were; Personal ethics at the work place and elsewhere, the family and work.
